I draw immense inspiration from my surroundings, daily life, animals, the natural world. I strive to capture moments that are seemingly mundane with a hint of imagined reality.
That is wonderful that you found what you were missing. I went through similar three years ago when I took up learning to draw and paint, having ignored art throughout my education in favour of computing. I did have the dream to maybe try painting later in life, after I retire, but fortunately my wife suggested I take up lessons much earlier in life! It’s been a full-on preoccupation of mine since then, and it is only picking up speed! Creating art, appreciating art, seeking art out, and writing about my art studies in my blog! I can’t believe I did none of that before 2010! I’m pleased for you that you might be on the same trip – well your own version! 🙂
It’s a good thing you took the advice of your wife! And to have met someone on a similar journey as I is rather uplifting! I’m excited for what the future has in store for us.
Happy creating!
p.s.
I have been wanting to learn how to paint traditionally and it was refreshing to see your work. keep it up!
